The St Bathans Ranges are such a recognisable sight for those who have spent any time in Central Otago. The way they look like a rippled white ribbon when covered with snow is so beautiful. Here I have captured them at one of my favourite times of year: late autumn. When the weather gods are in my favour it results in the beautiful combo of russet orange autumnal leaves, contrasting with the icy blue shadows on the snowy mountains behind.
