My favourite thing to paint is snow covered mountains on a bright cloudless day. I love the way strong sunlight hits the snow, creating dazzling whites, combined with icy blue shadows.

With this work I have included the road in the composition, as I was wanting to recreate that feeling of awe you get when you're on a road trip and driving into a breathtaking winter wonderland.
