One of my favourite spots to paint - the famous Wānaka Tree. I took lots of photos down here after we had a huge snowfall and I love how low the snowline is on the Buchanan Ranges. With this painting I was wanting to convey the crispness of light we get here on a sunny, cloudless, winters day.
